Based in Lima—the legendary “City of Kings”—you will discover the country from an insider’s perspective, guided by bilingual locals and industry professionals who know it best. This is not a typical tour. You will move through the city alongside ¡Tumbao!, gaining exclusive access to performances, hidden gems, and cultural moments that most travelers never see. You will connect with people, rhythms, and traditions in a way that feels real, immersive, and alive.

On this journey, you will dive into the energy of Lima—exploring bustling markets, historic landmarks, and one of the most celebrated food scenes in the world. You will enjoy VIP access to ¡Tumbao! performances at iconic jazz clubs and theaters, experiencing the music from the best seats in the room.

By day, you will walk through centuries of history with guided visits to the Cathedral of Lima and its Underground Catacombs, explore ancient sites like Huaca Pucllana, and wander through South America’s largest Chinatown. By night, you will step into curated nightlife experiences, live dance shows, and vibrant cultural spaces.

The adventure expands beyond the city as you head to Ica for an adrenaline-filled desert day—think dune buggy rides at sunset and pisco tastings in Peru’s wine country. You will also take to the ocean at the Palomino Islands, where you will swim alongside sea lions, and journey to Paracas to witness dramatic coastal landscapes, wildlife, and ancient geoglyphs. Along the way, you will experience Lima’s southern beaches and have time to explore on your own terms.

  • Day 1 — Arrival in Lima (Welcome Experience)
    You arrive in Lima and are greeted with private airport transport to your accommodations. After check-in and time to settle, you’ll join a welcome dinner with the group and meet ¡Tumbao!. You’ll get a full orientation of the journey ahead and begin connecting with fellow travelers.

    Day 2 — Historic Lima + Catacombs + Evening Show
    You will explore Lima’s historic center with a guided tour through its plazas, colonial architecture, and landmarks, including the Cathedral of Lima and its underground catacombs. In the evening, you’ll have VIP access to a ¡Tumbao! performance at one of the city’s iconic venues.

    Day 3 — Fruit Tour + Market Experience + Culinary Class + Theatre Night
    You’ll start the day exploring local fruit markets and tasting your way through Peru’s incredible biodiversity. From there, you’ll continue into a guided market tour experience. In the afternoon, you’ll take part in a private ceviche and pisco sour class led by Andrés Lizarraga. That evening, you’ll head to one of Lima’s largest cultural theaters for a major ¡Tumbao! performance with VIP access.

    Day 4 — Ancient Lima + Coastal Exploration + Wellness Options
    You will visit Huaca Pucllana for a guided exploration of this pre-Incan site. Later, you’ll take in Lima’s coastal views and have the option to participate in wellness experiences such as yoga in the park, a coastal jog, or even a surf session. Evening: optional cultural dance show or nightlife experience.

    Day 5 — Palomino Islands + Artisan Markets
    You will head out to the Palomino Islands for an unforgettable swim with sea lions. After returning to shore, you’ll continue the day with guided visits through Lima’s artisan markets, where you’ll find some of the best handmade goods, souvenirs, and gifts in the city—at the best local prices. Evening: free time or optional outing.

    Day 6 — Free Exploration + Cultural Experience
    You’ll have a more flexible day to explore neighborhoods like Miraflores or Barranco, revisit favorite spots, or relax. Optional guided experiences will be available. In the evening, you’ll attend a traditional Peruvian dance show excursion.

    Day 7 — Wellness + Open Day + Evening Performance
    This day offers a balance of rest and optional activity. You can join a morning wellness experience or take the day at your own pace. In the evening, you’ll regroup for another VIP ¡Tumbao! performance or curated live music experience.

    Day 8 — Full-Day Ica + Paracas + Huacachina Expedition
    You will depart early for a full-day, high-impact excursion combining multiple destinations. First, you’ll travel to Paracas to explore its coastal reserve, spotting marine wildlife, penguins, and ancient geoglyphs. From there, you’ll continue to Ica for a Perú wine country experience, including guided pisco tastings. The day continues in Huacachina, where you’ll ride dune buggies through the desert at sunset. You’ll return to Lima late in the evening.

    Day 9 — Beach Day + Closing Celebration
    You will spend a relaxed day along Lima’s southern beaches, with time to unwind, reflect, and enjoy the coast. That evening, you’ll gather for a closing celebration with the group featuring food, music, and a final shared experience.

    Day 10 — Departure
    You’ll enjoy a final morning in Lima before private transport takes you to the airport for departure.
